Incredible BOBBY BALL Statue in Lytham St Annes

Bobby Ball was one half of Cannon and Ball, a comedy duo from the 80s and 90s. Naturally funny person, comedian and actor, sadly passed away in 2020. This statue is in Lytham St Annes, south of Blackpool, and is in honour of this much missed talent! We deliberately took a diversion on our travels to see this statue, great to see it!

Really enjoyed your video, great hike kinder scout isn’t it 👍🏼 I did this last year video on my channel. Great job 👏 liked and subscribed 😊
High Spy with my little eye something beginning with F. No it was Fells.
It’s a wonderful place, beautiful location. And so much to see and do once up at the summit. 😊
Loving your channel. Inspired us to do the SWCP in September & can’t wait! Could I please ask which Garmin GPS you use? Thank you x
Hi Helen, many thanks for your kind comments. We use the Garmin Oregon 400 and 550, but Garmin don't do them anymore. However, you can get a second hand one off Ebay. Ours are falling apart but overall they do a great job! Good luck in September, its an amazing route, we're slowly getting there, almost half way...life and work gets in the way though! Kind regards, Simon and Elaine
@@unowhotravelchannel Thank you so much for your reply. Good luck with the rest of the path, I’m looking forward to watching it x
Wow, so interesting, thank you for these wonderful video! We will have a trip in September to these places....... Have you made any reservations for the Campsites? Kind Regards from Swizerland!
Hi, we were there in May 2021, just after COVID and we did make some of the campsite reservations. I don't think you need to do this though out of season, as its not so busy...as you saw from our vlog, the one small honesty site we went to, we had the place to ourselves! Have a great time and please let us know how you get on. Kind regards, Simon and Elaine
@@unowhotravelchannel Thanks a lot for your answer! I'am excited for these trip to the outher hebrides... 10 years ago, we travelled from Edinburgh to the island sky. That was also wonderfull! Then we sed, at least in 10 years, we are coming back!!! Now we are starting in Glasgow catching a Camper. Have a good time, kind regards Barbara
awesome views form the top
Superb Simon. Not a high first hill but it was one with character. I must say the area was looking decidedly green and beautiful - I mean the descent into the valley after the first high top was glorious. Re-the slate one I think I've seen people camp up there - it's no wonder. Well, a fine cottage indeed, which oddly felt like you walked too. Good going. Mark
Cheers Mark, all the best, Simon
@@unowhotravelchannel A pleasure Simon - another cool adventure.
An interesting channel. Subscribe and Like.😉 Many greetings from the Franken Travelers.🤗
Thank you very much, kind regards, Simon and Elaine
Such awesome views form the tops of the fells
another good hike of almost 12 miles and beautiful scenery along the way
Brilliant, absolutely brilliant scenery! Green meadows are breathtaking here!
Great to see you both back in the Lake District and doing such a brilliant hike. I've done the 2nd half and agree with you about the views over Derwent Water, but still to do Robinson and Hindscarth - one day maybe. I said at the start and the end why didn't you just start from your accommodation but in those hot conditions it must have been really tough - well done, regards, Ashley
Bravo on pushing through, even with the threat of Zeus’s lightning bolt ⚡️
the views outstanding on this walk Simon some of the climbing looked challenging and your finding the geocaches *🥸fully viewed🤖Au🦘☑thumbs up👍👍*
Thank you Billy...
Great vid Where did you get your poster list from please?
Hi, the poster list is called The Fir Tree Aerial Map of The Wainwright Fells of the Lake District, I believe you can order it off Amazon. Thanks for watching, regards, Simon

Thank you Billy, yes the cottage was lovely, just right to relax after a day's hiking!
Wow, I did not realise it was two years. Loved it. never heard of the A-Word at least not on the TV LOL
Its on iplayer, its worth a watch if you have a spare moment or two. Yes, we couldn't believe it had been two years, we're planning on going again later this year...
Good to see you back. Although apparently Elaine’s statue at the base of the Nab has been pulled down, because it was thought you’d abandoned the Lake District.
A petition is needed for it's rebuilding...
@@unowhotravelchannel Only after you have faced your darkest fears. You must face the Nab….. again !
Lovely hike guys, trail looks a bit steep but definitely perfect for filming! Small streams are just amazing!
We were so glad to be back, thanks for watching, Simon
Beautiful and cool towm, street market 🤩👍🏾many people I enjoy Saighseeing around Thank you for taking us around 🙏🏾😊
Thank you so much for watching and commenting, kind regards, Simon
So nice to see the Morris dancing ad sword fighting :) great to see some english heritage celebrated x
I just came back from a week on Sark with a natural history trip. I would recommend it to anybody. In the town there is an excellent little museum of the German occupation in WW II. Good places to visit include the gardens at the Seigneurie, and a boat trip round the island to see the seabird colonies. And there's even a doctor's surgery on the island for minor problems on your holiday.
Thank you for watching, likewise, really appreciate your interesting comments. Kind regards, Simon
Catching up been to my happy place.
Another great hike! Will keep following you on this epic journey :)
Thank you as always, hope you're well...
How long did it take you to recover from your long flight? Planning to go early 2026. Wondering how many days to rest before beginning our trip in earnest.
Hi, sorry for the late reply, we've been away! Do you know, it didn't take us long to recover from the flight and jet lag, as we broke the journey up by stopping in Singapore for 24 hours. We didn't rest, so to speak, we just had a couple of easy days travelling and a few short walks. New Zealand is definitely one of our favourite visited countries, lots to see and do, plus the people are really friendly and welcoming...
Great video. Does the Ice Cream van drive up and down the beach?
Not sure, think so as it's a big beach...
Machair (spelling?!?) is not pronounced the way you pronounced it (and probably not spelled the way I have spelt it!?!?)... but I think that this word refers to the type of grassland or fauna on Iona. Great video. I adore Iona. Thank you.
Thank you so much for watching and commenting...yes, I always learn about these pronouniciations after our visits...Iona is indeed beautiful, so glad we visited. Kind regards, Simon
A popular place indeed...
That’s the nicest William Hill I’ve ever seen. I’m going !!!!!

Very true...
Beautiful area where the boats are its so pretty :) loved the walk with those views of the coastline :) Babbacombe looks like a beautiful place to visit and perfect spot to grab a tea :)
Like 25 Awesome footage capturing the beautiful alluring scenery, thanks for sharing and bringing us to this wonderful relaxing place and stay safe always.
I stumbled across this video, thank you for this! It instantly brought back memories of my first 2 years as a uniformed Police Officer in Ilfracombe early 1990s. By the way, it's pronounced Hele Bay as in the 'heel' of a foot, you did make I laugh as they say in Devon! So much has changed but 'plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose'!
Thanks for watching and commenting Tom, much appreciated. Yes, I eventually came to realise how to say Hele, whoops...
@@unowhotravelchannel you're very welcome, keep up the good work!
Doing this walk next weekend! Thanks for the video 😊 We also stayed at the Ship in Porlock Weir and got the bus to Minehead for the first leg so that we had a bed and meal at the end. Would recommend the pub for both room and excellent food (evening meal and breakfast).
How did your walk go? Regards, Simon and Elaine

Boy there are some really awesome views along this section. the tram was interesting.. Don't think I would care to ride in that.
Ha ha, we didn't have time to try the tram, too busy finding the route...
cool bridges at the start (the one over the highway and then the harbor afterwards) you picked a nice spot for a tea break, even the bus ride at the end was interesting, cheers till the next one
Thanks Craig, it was a long stretch but we got there, we were so thankful to see that bus!
